The Insurance Institute of British Columbia is a not-for-profit organization operated under the umbrella of The Insurance Institute of Canada.
The Institute is the premier provider of educational products and services, such as the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation programs, to the general insurance industry. Our programs are consistent with the standardized curriculum offered across Canada.
The Insurance Institute of BC also offers the General Insurance Essentials (GIE) Licensing Program for Level 1 Salesperson and Adjuster.
We provide classroom instruction and present continuing education seminars and other knowledge-based activities for graduates and members allowing them to stay current and continue to meet the needs of their employers and clients within an evolving industry.
Membership is available to anyone in British Columbia wishing to acquire and/or expand their knowledge of the insurance industry through enrolment in courses or seminars offered by the Insurance Institute.
