The Insurance Institute of Northern Alberta is a not-for-profit organization operated under the umbrella of The Insurance Institute of Canada.
The Institute is the premier provider of educational products and services, such as the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation programs, to the general insurance industry. Our programs are consistent with the standardized curriculum we offer across Canada in both English and French.
We provide facilities to students, arrange classroom instruction and study groups, supervise examinations and present continuing education seminars and other knowledge-based activities for graduates and members which allow them to stay current and continue to meet the needs of their employers and clients within an evolving industry.
Membership is available to anyone in Northern Alberta wishing to acquire and/or expand their knowledge of the insurance industry through enrolment in courses and seminars offered by the Insurance Institute.

***Effective immediately, in accordance with Alberta Insurance Council Guidelines:***
Students attending evening courses must attend at least 10 out of the 12 classes to receive a Continuing Education certificate.
Students attending fast track courses must attend 100% to receive a Continuing Education certificate.
