The Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta is a not-for-profit organization. Located in Calgary, we operate under the umbrella of The Insurance Institute of Canada.
The Insurance Institute is the premier provider of educational products and services to the insurance industry. We are proud to offer two professional designations, the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP). Our programs are consistent with the standardized curriculum we offer across Canada in both English and French.
We provide facilities to students, arrange classroom instruction and study groups, supervise examinations and present continuing education seminars and other knowledge-based activities for graduates and members, which allow them to stay current and continue to meet the needs of their employers and clients within an evolving industry.
We offer membership to anyone in Southern Alberta who wishes to acquire and/or expand their knowledge of the insurance industry through enrolment in courses and seminars offered by the Insurance Institute.
